As you are aware and as outlined in the school's COVID-19 polices, members of staff will endeavour to set work on Google Classroom when your child is unable to attend school as a result of symptoms and/or a positive PCR of LFT test result. In such circumstances, if your child is well enough to complete this work then they should do with reference to the instructions left for them by their teachers on Google Classroom.

When your child is too ill to attend school as a result of illness or a particular medical reason, excluding COVID 19, then work will not be set by staff. Rather, the priority is for your child to focus upon rest and recuperation to enable them to return to school as soon as they have recovered sufficiently.

In circumstances where your child may have a long-term medical complaint and the prospect is that they may be absent from school for an extended period of time, then please discuss this with your child’s Head of Year. It should also be pointed out that moving forward, work shall be set for students during occasions of school closure such as 'snow days'.

Thank you for your ongoing support for your child's education at QEHS.
