The Gainian represents the continuation of a much valued tradition for QEHS to showcase and to share with our wider community the very best of students' work. QEHS strives at all times for excellence and this journal certainly bears testament to that! I am sure that you will be mightily impressed by the content here which clearly demonstrates the high standards staff expect of students and, indeed, the high standards our students demand of themselves and each other. Consequently, QEHS rightly boasts a standard of academic achievement that places this school amongst the best academic institutions in the country.
At QEHS we stretch and challenge our students academically and support their development as global citizens through a vast range of extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities. Valuing the 'whole child' is central to the ethos here at QEHS.
Earlier editions of The Gainian were used to showcases the fantastic work our students produce and create every day and my sincere thanks are extended to all of the wonderful students who have contributed to these volumes. Our 2022–23 edition continues to give a taste of the outstanding work that our students produce every day but also seeks to give readers an insight into the plethora of other activities and achievements that comprise the outstanding curriculum offer that is at the very heart of QEHS.
